Complex photo backgrounds, fast-changing backgrounds, semi-transparent elements, and fine hair cannot be removed perfectly with color keying alone.

Connected background only removes pixels that match the target color and touch the canvas edge.

That protects areas inside your subject that happen to share the background color — for example, white clothing on a white backdrop — while still clearing the outer background.
