On iPhone, save your Live Photo as a video, upload the MOV or MP4 file here (max 50MB), adjust quality (80–100) and frame rate (15–30 FPS) if needed, then click Convert to GIF and download the result. Live Photos commonly capture about 1.5–3 seconds of motion.
Yes. OmniGIF is a free online Live Photo to GIF converter with private browser-based processing: no uploads, no watermark, and your files never leave your device.
In the Photos app, open the Live Photo, tap the share icon, choose "Save as Video," then upload that video to this OmniGIF page to make a GIF from your Live Photo.
Not yet. This OmniGIF tool currently supports Live Photo to GIF only. Converting a GIF into a Live Photo is not available.
We support MOV, MP4, and HEIC formats commonly used for Live Photos on iOS devices, with a 50MB file size limit.
The maximum file size is 50MB. For larger files, consider compressing them first or trimming the duration before upload.
Use higher quality settings (80–100) and an appropriate frame rate (15–30 FPS). Shorter clips (closer to the typical 1.5–3 second Live Photo length) usually produce smaller, cleaner GIFs.
Currently, you can convert one Live Photo at a time on OmniGIF. We recommend processing them individually for better control over quality and FPS.
GIF is limited to at most 256 colors per frame, and frame delays are typically stored in units of 1/100 second (10ms). Those format limits can make files large. Reduce quality, FPS, or duration to shrink the output.
Your original Live Photo remains unchanged. OmniGIF only creates a new GIF file for download — nothing is uploaded to a server.
